A probate clearance, run properly, in five stages.
Most clearance firms empty a house. On a probate job the order of work matters, because the things that matter most to an estate are usually the things that look like rubbish.
Instruction
You confirm by email or phone. We check you have authority to instruct — usually the grant, or a letter from the solicitor handling the estate.
Walkthrough
We photograph every room before anything moves, and agree in writing what is kept, what is sold or donated, and what goes.
Document search
Before clearance begins we search for deeds, share certificates, policies, premium bonds, cash, jewellery and photographs.
Clearance
Room by room, in the agreed order. Reusable goods to charity with receipts; the rest to a licensed transfer station.
Handover
An after-clearance clean, photographs of the empty property, your disposal paperwork and the keys back where you want them.
